Lip, midface, and jawline filler is a popular non-surgical treatment that involves the injection of filler to restore volume, smooth lines and wrinkles, and improve facial contours. The bespoke procedure is tailored to address each individual's unique concerns and desired outcomes. A modest volume augmentation, artfully applied, can subtly enhance your appearance without changing it. Less is more and taste is paramount.

This procedure is often covered by insurance.

Ideal Candidates for Lip, Midface, and Jawline Filler

Lip, midface, and jawline filler is suitable for anyone who has concerns with the volume of these areas. Some areas of deficiency are genetic and many are age related. Ideal candidates may have concerns such as thin or aging lips, loss of volume in the midface, or a weak or undefined jawline. Filler is not a cure-all for facial aging but is a useful adjunct for volumizing targeted areas. Talk to your plastic surgeon about which of your concerns are best treated with filler versus fat grafting, skin treatments, or surgery.

Dr. Conlon is incredible to work with, and I couldn’t recommend him more! It’s clear he’s dedicated to helping patients achieve their desired goals. I saw Dr. Conlon a few weeks before my wedding for facial balancing with Botox and filler, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

The Steps of Lip, Midface, and Jawline Filler

Here’s what you can expect from Lip, Midface, and Jawline Filler. Each patient is unique, and we’ll discuss the particulars of your procedure during your consultation.

  1. Consultation
‍The patient meets with a qualified provider to discuss their concerns, desired outcomes, and medical history. The provider will assess the patient's facial structure and develop a personalized treatment plan.
  2. Preparation
‍The treatment area is cleansed, and a topical numbing cream may be applied for comfort. The provider will select the appropriate type and amount of filler based on the patient's needs.
  3. Injection
‍Using a fine needle or cannula, the provider will strategically inject the filler into the targeted areas of the lips, midface, and jawline. The provider will gently massage the treated areas to ensure even distribution of the filler and to minimize the risk of lumps or irregularities.
  4. Recovery
‍After the procedure, patients may experience mild redness or bruising, which typically subsides within a few days. Patients should expect swelling to peak two days after filler administration (keep in mind when choosing your appointment date). Patients can resume most normal activities immediately.
  5. Follow-up
‍Patients will be scheduled for a follow-up appointment to assess the results and address any concerns.

FAQs

Everything else you need to know about Lip, Midface, and Jawline Filler.

Will I look overfilled?

My preferred aesthetic is a natural, youthful fullness. To that end, we will perform a bespoke administration of filler to the areas of concern. We will tag and save any leftover product to have it available should you desire a touchup at your follow up in 2 weeks. You will look like you, just accentuated.

I have a big event coming up! When should I schedule my filler appointment?

For a facial optimization, come see me 6 weeks before your event. We will treat the areas of concern conservatively and reassess at a touch-up appointment 4 weeks before your event. You will have the full effect by your event and look your best.

How long does the effect last?

The longevity of filler depends on the properties of the specific HA formulation, but the simple answer is 6-12 months.

Can the filler be reversed?

We only use hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers that are dissolvable. These are the most advanced and safest fillers on the market.

When will I see the results?

You will see changes due to your filler injection immediately but things will continue to evolve for the next couple days. The injection will cause some swelling and the filler gel will hydrate over the following two days, often creating an overfilled look that can be concerning. By day five, the swelling will be mostly resolved. The bottom line is, I expect where you are at the end of the clinic visit is approximately the look that will persist in the months after your treatment.

What happens during a consultation?

A consultation is usually a 30-60 min appointment in our offices depending on the complexity of your procedure(s). You’ll meet with Dr. Conlon to talk about your goals and what you want to accomplish with your plastic surgery. Together, you’ll talk about the right procedure or set of procedures to achieve your desired look. Dr. Conlon will walk you through the steps you’ll take before, during, and after the procedure.

You’ll also talk about pricing, logistics, and all the important details that ensure you have everything you need to feel confident about your plan.

How much does this procedure cost?

We’ll work with you during your initial consultation to go over prices based on your specific case and needs, but when we confirm our price, it includes all pre-op, surgical, anesthesia, and post-op care. You can rest assured there will never be any surprises.
