This procedure is often covered by insurance.

Ideal Candidates for Lower Body Lift

Lower body lift surgery is often sought by individuals who have experienced significant weight loss, either through diet and exercise or GLP-1 drugs or bariatric surgery. It is also suitable for those with loose, sagging skin due to aging or genetics. The Steps of Lower Body Lift

Here’s what you can expect from Lower Body Lift. Each patient is unique, and we’ll discuss the particulars of your procedure during your consultation.

  1. Anesthesia
‍General anesthesia is administered to ensure patient comfort during the procedure.
  2. Incisions
‍The surgeon makes a circumferential incision around the lower torso, positioned just above the pubic area and extending around the hips to the back.
  3. Liposuction
‍Fat deposits are thinned strategically to set the stage for an improved silhouette.
  4. Skin and fat removal
‍Excess skin and fat are carefully removed from the abdomen, hips, outer thighs, and buttocks. The remaining skin is then pulled taut and repositioned to create a smoother, contoured appearance.
  5. Incision closure
‍The incisions are closed using sutures. Drains may be necessary to remove excess fluid and promote healing.
  6. Recovery
‍Patients stay overnight either in the hospital or a hotel. Compression garments are worn to minimize swelling and support the treated areas. Most patients can return to light activities within 2-3 weeks, with a full recovery expected within several months.
